This webinar will explain the evidence that indicates that well-designed pop-up messages may be a useful (& low-cost) strategy to prevent the viewing and sharing of illegal sexual images online. Jeremy will then summarise current research that his team is undertaking to examine how online messages may be useful to reduce the risk of a range of online harms for adolescents.

Professor Jeremy Prichard, is a dad of five kids who enjoys all that Tasmania has to offer, including sailing. He is an interdisciplinary criminologist, with core disciplinary roots in psychology and law. Jeremy previously worked at the Australian Institute of Criminology, the Crime and Misconduct Commission (Qld.), and the Department of Premier and Cabinet (Qld.). He is now a professor of criminal law, and Director of the Tasmania Law Reform Institute.
